Ann Bennett Karbach went to be with Jesus on the evening of December 15th while with family. Ann was born in Corpus Christi to Jay Watson Bennett and Ruby Inez Bullock Bennett (Ribbie) on August 24, 1933.

Her family moved to San Antonio where she was a Debutante. She attended College at Newcomb College in New Orleans and then the University of Texas earning her BA. She met the love of her life while working in a hospital in San Antonio as a Social Worker.  Ann and Hylmar Karbach were married on March 2, 1957.  She spent 2 years traveling and following him in the Navy. They returned to New Braunfels and started a family. She was the mother to 3 children, Taylor, Amy, and Kate.  When her children were older, she returned to school at Our Lady of the Lake and earned her Masters in Social Work and then became a licensed psychotherapist.  She helped many people in her private practice.  Ann loved to travel with her husband as they visited 35 countries.

She is survived by 2 children: Amy Mark and Kate Karbach;daughter-in-law Brenda Karbach; grandchildren: Emily McCarthy, Harvey and Kylie Mark, Meghan McCarthy, Korrie Karbach, Ann Mark and Katie Karbach; three great grandchildren: Mayson Karbach, Weston Karbach and Bennett Mark; and her grandniece Margaret Mitchell.  She was preceded in death by her son, Taylor Karbach, and her grandson, Kyle Karbach.

The family would like to show appreciation to ComForCare for their incredible service over the past 4 years.  In lieu of flowers, she would appreciate any gifts to be given to Hope Hospice New Braunfels (or the charity of your choice).  A service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church on Sunday, January 28th at 2:00 pm.
