Anna Elizabeth Covington, 104, of Arlington, Texas, formerly of New Braunfels, passed away on March 1, 2024 in Arlington.  She was born December 27, 1919 in Meridian, Mississippi to Rodney and Nellie (Griffith) King.

She is preceded in death by her husband John E. Covington.

She is survived by her children, Mary Ann Jackson of Arlington, Texas, and John Covington and wife Mary Anne of New Braunfels, Texas; grandchildren, Carla Jackson, Mary Elizabeth Caldwell (Sean), Holly Malish (Keith), Tuesday Batey (Brandon), John Joseph Covington (Nichol); great-grandchildren, David Barnhart, Brian Barnhart, Amanda Tittle (Jonathan), Colin Caldwell, Michael Caldwell, Vivian Malish, Lily Bailey, Levi Bailey, Statham Covington, Penelope Covington, Addison Covington; great-great grandchild, Sonya Barnhart.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels.  A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels.  A committal service will follow at 1:30 PM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
