Anona Pankau, 87, of New Braunfels, Texas passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, October 21, 2021.  She was born January 30, 1934 to Thelma and Edmund Schievelbein.   She was married to Clifford Pankau for 62 years until his death in 2017.  She is survived by her children, Leah Nading and husband Jeffrey, Hannah Payne and husband John, Jared Pankau and wife Tracy, Kenan Pankau and wife Liza.  She had one grandson, Skylar Payne.

Anona enjoyed attending Christian meetings and studying the bible throughout her life.  She was also a wonderful cook and loved hosting family dinners.  She has left her children a storehouse of authentic recipes and memories to match.

A private family service will take place in Seguin, Texas.
