Antonita (Toni)
Warrick
Jul 12, 1937 — Dec 7, 2024
Antonita (Toni) Warrick....peacefully went home to her Heavenly Father, December 7, 2024. Toni was born July 12, 1937, to Bertel Alfred and Edith Adelia Bloomquist in Maywood, California. They later moved to Woods Cross, Utah where she spent many of her young childhood years, eventually moving to the North Salt Lake area. Toni attended West High where she met her future husband David R. Vandersteen. They lived and raised their two daughters Renee and Lorrie in the then Granger area of the Salt Lake valley. After a divorce Toni moved to Hurricane, Utah where several years later she met and married James R. Warrick. They spent many happy summers touring the US and parts of Canada on their Goldwing motorcycle. Toni liked to say that she had been everywhere and done everything, including going on every bridge and ferry that existed.
Toni was a devoted member of the LDS church and spent many years teaching and loving the primary children, always going the extra mile with her lessons. She loved to sew, crochet, read, and garden. She also had a great love for animals and fed every stray cat in the neighborhood.
Toni is survived by her daughters Renee Kimball (Hurricane, Utah) and Lorrie Couture (New Braunfels, Texas), along with 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 4 sisters. Graveside services and interment will be held December 11, 2024, at Hill Country Memorial Gardens Cemetery, New Braunfels, Texas.
Special thanks to Hope Hospice, New Braunfels, Texas for their exceptional loving and thoughtful care of our mother.
