Beatrice Mabel Brown Mother of New Braunfels resident Karen Wolda, born on September 20, 1938 in Colorado was called to be with her Heavenly Father on July 5th, 2021 after a long illness.  Beatrice known as Bea was a proud New Mexican from both Penasco, NM and Arenas Valley, NM.  Bea spent 32 years working at both the Hillcrest and Gila Regional Medical Centers.  Bea was very proud of her career and spoke of it frequently with fondness.  More than anything and most importantly to her was her love she had for her family and friends who were the beneficiaries of her warm heart and caring soul. Bea is survived by her Husband, Manuel Brown with whom she was married to for 64 wonderful years.

Other survivors include her daughter Karen Wolda and her husband David Wolda, son Robert Brown and his wife Pat Brown and son Marty Brown.  Bea was blessed with five grandchildren, Jacob, Brittney, Jeremy, Caleb and Ally.  There will be a small ceremony in New Braunfels, TX for family and friends to celebrate her life with a future ceremony to be held when she will be laid to rest in her beloved Penasco, NM at a future date and time.  Bea was the most kind and loving person that I ever knew, she will now be able to share that love and kindness with her loved ones and friends through her heavenly spirit until we meet up with her presence again when we are also called home by our Father.
