Benito M. Vann Jr. was born on September 22, 1954, in Del Rio, Texas, and entered into eternal rest on July 3, 2023, at the age of 68.

Benito was preceded in death by his parents, Benito Sr., his beloved mother, Dolores Morales Vann, and his eldest son, Ben Vann.

Benito is survived by his children, Monica Salazar-Zepeda, Benito Vann III, Daniel Vann, Cassandra Vann, and Norma Vann. He was a proud grandfather to Ben, Christian, Joshua, Ian, Sofia,  Sienna, Antonio, Miranda, Isaiah, Daniel, Emmanuel, Isabella, Samuel, Alexis, Raymond, Angel and great-granchildren,  Jayson, Kairi, and Percy.  His biggest concern was the well-being of each and every one, and Benito loved spending time with them as often as possible.  They never left without receiving a blessing from their grandfather.

Benito spent most of his life driving long-haul big rigs and loved the open road. He also enjoyed college football, basketball, catching up with his friends from Del Rio, and watching Sunday Mass.  He was a devout, reformed Catholic.

Benito, Dad, Grampa will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

We will respect his wishes.  At his request, there will be no services, and family will honor him in private.

O God, Creator and Redeemer, of all your faithful people, grant to the souls of all our faithful departed your mercy, light, and peace.

Lord, we pray that Benito may know your forgiveness for his sins and the blessings of everlasting life in the company with the Virgin Mary and all the angels and saints in Heaven.  Amen
