Obituary

Our dear mother, Bernice Barbara Martini, age 81, passed away on December 20, 2023, after a long illness. She is survived by her devoted husband of almost 64 years, Raymond J. Martini, her two loving children, Reverend Jason A. Martini, and Dr. Sharon R. Martini Arismendez, along with Sharon's husband, Edward and granddaughter, Emma. She leaves her last living brother, Mike Bruegging and his wife, Terry, along with many adoring nieces, nephews, multiple in-laws, friends, and neighbors.

Her family and her faith made up the entirety of her world. Her devotion to Mary was an important aspect of her life and provided an ideal to live by every day. She was an avid supporter of her family and their activities, whether that was attending masses, fund raising or attending football games. She was always there helping behind the scenes. She was passionate about politics and served as an election judge and early voting worker for more than thirty years.  During her last days, she maintained her demeanor by being faithfully strong, brutally honest, and loving. She will be missed by many in the community.

Her services will be as follows:

Rosary and viewing to be at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home, 189 N. Seguin Avenue,

New Braunfels, Texas 78130 on December 27th from 5 to 7 pm with the rosary beginning at 6:00 pm

386 N. Castell Avenue, New Braunfels, Texas 78130 with a gravesite service immediately following
