Beth
Gorman
d. Dec 28, 2020
On Monday, December 28, 2020, Mary Gorman, loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 68. Beth was born in Houston, Texas to John and Mary (Fenn) Archer. She received her forestry degree from Stephen F. Austin. She and Bob married in 1979 and raised two children, George and Casey. During George and Casey's school years, she enjoyed working at the Lake Hamilton Intermediate School Library until their graduation and then made it her personal mission to make sure no brownie pan was ever left empty. Beth had a love for baking and was often found piddling in the kitchen while sneaking M&M's. Beth also enjoyed hand embroidering all of the family stockings, including the grandchildren, Emersyn and Noah. Ever since moving to Texas, Beth and Bob had a Sunday tradition of Nopalito's and a river road drive with the top down. They could frequently be found strolling through Landa Park and might be the reason for the "Do Not Feed the Ducks" signs. Even at their home, the local deer and hummingbirds never went hungry and neither would any guest that ever visited.
Beth was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Archer, her father, John Archer, and her brother, John Archer. She is survived by her husband Bob, her two children George Gorman, and Casey Cheffins, sisters Patty Pappas, and Claudia Browning, and several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
The visitation will be held at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home at 189 North Seguin Ave in New Braunfels, Texas on Monday, January 4 th at 9-11am. Funeral will be at 1:00pm at Hill Country Memorial Gardens in New Braunfels.
