Bettie Lou (Gore) Beene of Bulverde, Texas died January 13, 2023.  She was born in Brownwood, Texas on June 4, 1938.  She was a graduate of Comanche High School.  After marrying her high school sweetheart, David Beene, she devoted her time to raising her children and doting on her grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Bailey and Irie Gore, and two brothers, Bill Gore and Joe Gore.  She is survived by her beloved husband of almost 65 years, David Beene, her son Jerry and daughter-in-law Johnna, her daughter Tiffany May and son-in-law Jeff, and grandchildren Bailey Hubbert, Brady Beene, Zachary May, and Jacob May.  She is also survived by her beloved sister Sue Arthur.

Services will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Fellowship, 32445 US 281 in Bulverde, Texas.  Graveside service will be at Gardens of Memory, 11150 TX-16 in Comanche, Texas on Wednesday, January 18 at 1:00 p.m.

The family wishes to convey its sincere appreciation for caregivers Susie Martinez, Donna Martinez, Savannah Rodriguez, Destiny Pizzini, Leonor Foley and Mary Sue Rose, along with the dedicated staff at Rio Terra Memory Care.  We are also indebted to Kristen Kelley of Aspen Hospice for her compassionate care during mother's final days, and also to Melissa Wilson for her expert eguidance during this difficult time.
