Betty Sue Davis McRight passed away at her home on Thursday, June 29, 2023. She was 70 years old.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Monday, July 3rd, at 11:00 AM at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home, 189 N. Seguin Avenue, New Braunfels, TX 78130. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM.

Betty was born September 16, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated in 1971 from Edison High School and the Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1974. She worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) in intensive care and outpatient surgery from 1974 to 2002. Actively continuing her education, she maintained her RN license through 2023, using it to serve her family and people around the world on numerous medical mission trips.

Betty invested her time in people and her faith in God. Serving for many years on the Agape Pregnancy Care Center board of directors in Round Rock, she also tutored Kids Club students, worked with the children's ministry at Oakwood Baptist Church, and voraciously sewed and quilted for personal enjoyment and ministry. On November 24th, 2022, Betty and her husband William (Bill) celebrated fifty years of marriage, surrounded by family and friends accumulated over a lifetime of adventures in camping, traveling the globe, finding the most delicious hole-in-the-wall restaurants, and exploring the pages of the Bible.

Preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Victor Davis and Laura Mae Davis, she is survived by her husband William McRight, three daughters Laura Lusby-Karlin and husband Ben Karlin, Bonnie Levant and husband Matthew Levant, and Sara Musgrove and husband Charles Musgrove; her two sisters Shirley Shepard, and Nancy Reynolds and her husband Dr. Michael Reynolds. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren Clara (and husband, Jeremiah), Liam, Joshua, Abigail, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Madeleine, and Cheyenne, who were her ultimate favorite life investment.
