Beverly Henley, 87, of Spring Branch, Texas moved to heaven on May 24, 2023, surrounded by her family at her home.  She was born November 20, 1935, in Russell, Iowa to Vernon and Esther Aston.

Beverly was born during the depression, and was taught the values of hard work, integrity, compassion, and frugality, which she also instilled in her children.  She was a Sunday school teacher, Missionette leader, Women's Ministry leader, and known to her many regular weekly contacts as the Chocolate Candy Lady.  Her love for people was personified in the way she lived and came from the love of Christ shining through her. Her witty response and sense of humor kept everyone around her on their toes and was unmatched only by her red boots. Those who knew her, knew they were loved by her.

She is survived by her children, Sherrie and Randy Hollenbeck, Lynn and Kerry McClure, Randall and Dana Henley, Brady Henley, Beverly Benoit, and Karen Jesko; grandchildren, Matthew and Priscilla, Joshua & Genevieve and Amy Hollenbeck, Eric and Larissa Henley, Wilton, Alex Benoit and Maegan, Benoit Barton. Kurt, Kyle and Rachel and Max Hammond, Sam Houchin; great grandchildren, Isaiah, Hannah, Noah, and Ava Hollenbeck, McKenzie Martinez, Abigail Hollenbeck, Charlie and Cypress Barton; extended family, Danny, and Linnie Beu and Mike Johnson, and those invited into her family, Jerry and Tricia Irvin, and Gary and Jackie Landry.

She is preceded in death by Louis Henley, her husband of 54 years, and her son, Vernon Wayne Henley.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 9:00 – 10:00 A.M. at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas.  A graveside service follow at 11:00 A.M. at Hill Country Memorial Gardens in New Braunfels, Texas.
