Obituary

Bruce Arnold Hall was born to William Walter & Margaret (Arnold) Hall on September 28, 1950, in Houston, Texas.  He passed from this life on October 10, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 75 with his wife and son at his side.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Walter Hall, Jr.; sister, Judith Hall McMullen and nephew, Matthew Hall McMullen.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Hall of New Braunfels; son, John Hall of New Braunfels & fiancée, Sarah Henry of Austin; daughter, Jennifer Rice – McCoy & husband, Edward Mullins of Canyon Lake; grandchildren, Jenna Rice, Will Beougher, Julia Rice, Jacob Hall, Macey McCoy and Marissa McCoy; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Bruce was a longtime resident of Houston, Texas where he raised his family and worked hard, but always longed to be in the Texas Hill Country. He had fallen in love with New Braunfels when he was a child and in 2016, he was able to retire and relocate permanently.

In 2017 he had an unexpected and traumatic health event that should have taken his life, but he fought through it valiantly and by the grace of God persevered. This gave us 8 more blessed years. We are so grateful.

Shortly after he got home from the hospital, he insisted upon professing his faith and accepted Jesus Christ into his heart with the help of Pastor Jerry Bentley and continued to attend Oakwood Baptist Church in New Braunfels.

Bruce lovingly known to his wife, kids and grandkids as "Homer", loved his family, his beloved dog Buddy, motorcycles, muscle cars, airplanes (but not, definitely not flying) and of course 60's classic rock music.

He was "slightly" opinionated at times to the point that he could "argue with a fence post". He was absolutely hilarious, loving, compassionate, honorable, dependable, and loyal. He will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Oakwood Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Peace officiating.

A procession will follow to Comal Cemetery.
