Carolyn LaJoye Cone was born to Jesse & Ruby Pruett on September 23, 1947 in Greensville, South Carolina.

She passed from this life on June 27, 2023 in Liberty Hill, Texas at the age of 75 and is now resting in Heaven.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Cone in 2007 with whom we know she has reunited with for a fabulous new adventure. Carol was also preceded in death by her brother, Donald Pruett and parents, Jess and Ruby Pruett.

She is survived by her son, David Franklin and daughter in-law, Katherine Franklin of Fort Worth, Texas, daughters, Shelley Hartley of Austin, Texas and Sharon Franklin of Austin, Texas.  She is also survived by her wonderful siblings, Arlen Pruett of Corpus Christi, Texas and Arlene Zufall of Douglas, Wyoming.

Carol was a beloved mother of three, grandmother of four, and a great grand mother of six.

Carol was a friend to all and could hook them in if she could talk with them for a minute or two.  She called Central Texas home and loved living in Canyon Lake.  Carol's life is to be celebrated and rejoiced and the family would love to hear stories, adventures, and some Carol-ism's as we celebrate her life.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 13, 2023,

at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas.

A Graveside Service will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, July 14, 2023

at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
