Cathy Diane Dodson, 62, of Spring Branch, Texas was called home to our Lord on May 24, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones.  She was born on August 26, 1958, in New Orleans, Louisiana to James and Joyce (Tatum) Smith.

Cathy married the love of her life, Everett Carroll Jr., on May 15, 1982 by running down the aisle as soon as she saw him standing at the altar. Cathy took great pride in giving back to her community. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, CASA, Bulverde Thrift Store and Christian Assistance Ministry. She also was a faithful servant to our Lord by spreading the word of God's love. She went on several missionary trips to Honduras, Mexico, and Argentina. Cathy's hobbies included camping, bike riding, hiking, bird watching, and playing games with her grandsons and family.

She is survived by her husband, Everett Carroll Dodson, Jr, children: Crystal Andrews (Mike), Preston Dodson (Natalie), and Curtis Dodson, grandchildren: Nathan Andrews, Blake Andrews, and Ryan Dodson, and sisters: Cynthia Green and Karen Peck.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Bulverde Baptist Church in Bulverde.  Burial will be in Hill Country Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
