Celeste Ann Garnett Brewer was born on a military aircraft, over the Pacific Ocean, flying between Johnston Island and Honolulu, Hawaii, on February 4, 1956.  Her birth certificate actually lists "20° 59' N Lat. / 158° 44' Long. at 7000 ft." as her birth location. (Celeste was 2 months early and a doctor, also traveling, kept her alive while on board, with a small paper cup and oxygen.)  She was the first baby born on an aircraft earning her mother, Bonnie Garnett, the "Mother of the Year" award for Hawaii in 1956.

Celeste's childhood years were spent as a military brat living in Amarillo, Texas; Berlin, Germany; Minot, North Dakota; Colorado Springs, Colorado and finally back to the family's home town of San Antonio, Texas.  In 1975, she graduated from John Jay High School then spent the following years at different jobs and adventures including being "the girl on the swing" at the San Francisco Steak House and working at USAA.

On August 31, 1992, Celeste married the love of her life, (Buck) Weldon  Brewer, her husband for 32 years.  They made their first home in San Antonio, and then moved to Canyon Lake, TX.  They opened a successful business together, U-N-I Specialties, with Celeste doing the record keeping and Buck doing the sales.

Celeste enjoyed supporting the local Masonic Lodge, which Buck was a member of, and volunteering her time at local functions, including working the food booths at Wurstfest.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband, including trips to Vegas, where she began her love of Keno!  These past few years, she was an avid fan of "scratch off lotto" tickets.

She was also an animal lover and opened their home to a multitude of dogs & cats in need of a safe haven.

Celeste never met a stranger and had that unique ability of remembering names of new acquaintances and made all feel special.  Everyone who has ever met her, remembers Celeste.

She so enjoyed gatherings of family and friends and was always quick to offer to bring her famous "Banana Pudding".  She will sincerely be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Celeste passed away Monday, July 7, 2025.  She is survived by her husband, Buck Brewer, her sisters, Jackie McEathron (& David), Linda Chicoine (& Rick), Susan Maggio (& Bob), her brother John/Wes Garnett (& Letty), her Daughter-in-Law, Deedee Brewer, and her grandchildren, Jonathon Brewer, Marc Alvarado, Jacqueline Jasso and Ariel Brewer and a large extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie & Jack Garnett, and her Son-in-Law Glen Brewer.

She has found her home with Jesus.
