Cora Mae Bunge Blair Chmiel was born in Waukegan, Lake County, Illinois on November 20, 1935.  Her now deceased parents were Wray and Margaret Bunge of North Chicago, IL.

She passed away on March 9, 2024 at the blessed age of 88 years old.  She will be interred at Hill Country Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bulverde, TX on March 18, 2024 at 11:00am.

Cora was affectionately known as: Mom, Gigi, and dear friend.  Cora is preceded in death by her first husband, James Blair (2023); second husband, Walter Chmiel (2012); son-in-law, Rick Gadrow (2023); and grandson, Justin Russell (2021).

Cora is survived by her sisters, Verna Faires (Glen Burnie, Maryland) and Margaret Arndt (Twin Lakes, Wisconsin).  Her family includes the following: Four Children and their spouses:  Judith Ann Blair McLeaird (Raymond) (Bulverde, TX); Jeffery David Blair (Houston, TX); Joseph Wendell Blair (Mary) (West Virginia); Jacquelyn Celeste Blair Gadrow (Rick – passed 06/2023) (Houston).

Six Grandchildren and their spouses:  Ryan Adam McLeaird (Lauren) (San Antonio, TX).
Robin Ashley McLeaird Webster (Jon) (Temple, TX); Randal Austin McLeaird (Melissa) (San Antonio, TX); Justin Scott Russell (passed 12/2021) (Jannelle); Jonathan Arron Franklin Russell (Jordan) (NY); Richard Brandon Gadrow (Houston).

Twelve Great Grandchildren: Rhys, Kellan, Micah, Jeremiah, Sloane, Lion, Xander, Odin, Thorin, Orion, Valkyrie, and Aeris.

She will be greatly missed in this life, but we live out her legacy of love as we anticipate seeing her again in heaven.

2 Timothy 4:7-8  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

Graveside Services & Interment will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 18, 2024
