In Remembrance of

Corporal Allen J. Hefner Sr. was born in Toledo, OH on April 11, 1933, and passed away on December 29, 2023 in San Antonio, TX at the age of 90.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of many years, Patricia R. Hefner, father William J. Hefner Sr., mother Lydia E. Pritchett Hefner, sister Carol Mae Kindt, brother William J. Hefner Jr., and daughter-n-law Lori Hefner.

Corporal Allen J. Hefner Sr. is survived by his 4 sons, Allen J. Hefner Jr, of San Antonio, Robert W. (Patricia) Hefner Sr. of North Carolina, Jeffrey S. (Julia) Hefner of San Antonio and Kenneth J. Hefner of Idaho. Also surviving are his 10 grandchildren, Robert W. (Pamela) Hefner Jr., Kristina Hefner, Trisha (Charles) Pegg, Adam J. (Samantha) Hefner, Sharayah Hefner, Christina (Brad) Helgeson, Joshua Hefner, Kendra Hefner, Sarah Hefner, and Danielle Barrett. Allen was also blessed with 14 great-grandchildren.

He was known for his special achievements while serving in the United States Army. He served from 1953-1955 and is a Korean War Veteran. He belonged to several VFW Chapters and American Legions, and was a Mustang enthusiast. He served as a dedicated employee of Dana Corporation in Toledo OH for 25 years.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 13, 2024 with Funeral Services immediately following at 12:00 noon.

Graveside Services with military honors will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
