It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Ann Tice, who departed this world on September 26, 2026. Born on December 21, 1967, in the vibrant city of San Antonio, Texas, Debbie was the cherished daughter of the late Joel N. Tice and Genevieve Hildebrand Tice.

Her life was a testament to love, laughter, and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Debbie's early years were spent in the warmth of her family home, surrounded by love from her parents and the close-knit community of New Braunfels, where she graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1986. With a thirst for knowledge and a drive to succeed, she pursued higher education, graduating from Southwest Texas State University in 1996. Her professional journey was marked by a remarkable 24-year career at Wal-Mart New Braunfels. Debbie was not just an employee; she was a beloved figure whose funny sense of humor and warm spirit drew customers to her checkout line, eager to share in her joy and kindness.

Debbie's life was enriched by her active involvement in various organizations. She achieved the prestigious Gold Award in Girl Scouts, a testament to her dedication and leadership. For over 15 years, she was a proud member of the New Braunfels New Century Lions, contributing countless hours of service at the Comal County Fair. Her spiritual life was nurtured as a devoted parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul Church. In her leisure time, Debbie indulged in her passions for fishing, crafting, and travel. She found peace and joy at the Texas coast and the magical realms of Walt Disney World, as well as on her adventures across much of the United States and Europe.

Debbie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joel and Genevieve, as well as her grandparents and many aunts and uncles. She leaves behind her loving siblings: sisters, Diane Tice and her husband, Joe Soane, Rebecca Tice, and Sonja Tice-McCoy and her husband, Mark McCoy.

She will be dearly missed by her nephew, Joel Michael Tice, who carries forward her legacy of love and laughter. Debbie will forever be remembered for her humor, her warmth, and the love she shared with everyone she met. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. The family would like to thank SiVa, Home Care and Reliant in Home Hospice for the exceptional care given to Debbie during her final days.

As we say goodbye to our beloved Debbie, we remember her for her vibrant spirit, her unwavering dedication to her work, and the joy she brought into our lives.

A Visitation to be held at Deoppenschmidt Funeral Home at 5:00pm until 7:00 PM (with rosary being held at 6:00pm) on September 30, 2026. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on October 1, 2026 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in New Braunfels, Texas. Immediately following the service the entombment will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Mausoleum. Following the service at the mausoleum, family and friends are welcome to join the fellowship at the Sts. Peter and Paul family room.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Debbie's memory to Sts. Peter and Paul Church.
