Deloise Vaughan quietly passed away on September 2, 2023 in her home in New Braunfels at the age of 97.

She was born March 27, 1926 in Surginer, Alabama to James and Hortense (Kiker) Vick.  Deloise worked diligently to become a teacher for the Department of Defense and enjoyed many years teaching young children overseas in Germany where she met her future husband Donald. Donald and Deloise were married in Switzerland and truly enjoyed traveling overseas in Holland, Switzerland, Italy, and Austria.  Deloise painted for many decades as her family grew.  She loved the local landscapes especially the spring with the flowers and new life that each new year brought.  She raised her four children in many states, finally settling in New Braunfels, Texas.  Mom enjoyed company and anyone can tell you that she loved feeding her family and friends.  She raised her family with Christian values and was steadfast in her living and faith as a reflection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her children, Don Vaughan (Barbara), Kathy Kiesling (Donald), Donna Vaughan, Douglas Vaughan, four grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews .

Deloise (Mom\Nanny) is greatly missed but is remembered with joy as we celebrate her new relationship with Christ in heaven with no pain and suffering.  Her faith in Christ is sight now!

A memorial graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park in New Braunfels with her grandson Christopher Vaughan officiating.
