Obituary

Dennis Joseph Marbach was born to Udo & Erna Marbach (Schumann) on February 8th, 1943, in Converse, Texas. He passed away peacefully at home on March 19th, 2025, in New Braunfels, Texas.

Before passing away, Dennis lived a life full of devotion to his family. Dennis is leaving behind a legacy of kindness, grace and passion for hunting and craftsmanship. After graduating Judson High School in 1961, he became a member of the National Guard before marrying the love of his life, Kathy. They were then blessed with three sons, after his youngest child was born, Dennis became a member of the Knights of Columbus. Prior to getting married, he had a partnership with his brothers; Udo and Patrick framing homes. Following this, he started his own framing business which led to a partnership with Ernie Schladoer for many years building custom homes. In 1999, Dennis and Kathy purchased a cabin in New Mexico where Dennis loved hunting and spending time with family and friends. Dennis loved exploring new hunting grounds out of state for Elk and Mule Deer.  He will be missed dearly by family and many friends.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Udo, Jerome, Gerald and Anthony Marbach and sister, Diana Ciomperlik.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy of 56 years, his sons, Charles (Nanette) Chris, and Doug and grandchildren, Dustin (Jordan), Lindsy Yaws (Michael), Kalyn, Hunter and great grandchildren; Jaxon Yaws, Parker Marbach & one expected in July. Brothers, Patrick (Suzie), Larry (Pam), Kenny (Debbie) & Clyde (Jan). Sisters, Sister Stephana Marbach, Joan Ciomperlik, & Georgine Marbach. Brother in laws, Clarence Cioperlik (Kathy), Wayne Ulbrich (Rosie) & Lawrence Ulbrich (Betsy). Sister in laws, Betty Marbach & Judy Marbach; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Wednesday March 26th at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas from 5:00pm-7:00pm with a rosary at 6:00pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Peter and Paul in New Braunfels, Texas on Thursday March 27th, 2025 at 10:00am. A reception will follow the funeral services with a burial at 1:00pm at Holy Cross.

In lieu of flowers or contributions, the family requests that donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
