Derek Scott Felldin brought pure joy to our lives from December 23, 2018 to November 2, 2020.

He was surrounded by his family, wrapped in their love, as he left this world.

He lived each day to the fullest, with wonder and happiness.

He is survived by his parents, Gina Perry and Scott Felldin; his grand-parents and guardians, Russ and Carolyn Felldin; his grandmother, Myrna Tiley; his siblings, Brianna, Taylor and Andre Perry; his aunts and uncles, Tara and Patrick Hermstein, Diana and Chad Dufur, Bekah and Russell Saunders, Cody Brown, Logan Barrett, and his cousins.

He will be missed by his favorite toy…Buddy, and family dogs: Susi, Julia, and Nellie.

His smile and laughter were contagious and would light up any room. To say he was determined and tenacious is an understatement; if he could get into it, he would find a way.

He was bright, affectionate, funny, and adventurous! To know Derek was to know love in its purest sense. He loved to learn and play, and he would watch Mickey Mouse and listen to "Hot Diggity Dog" until his family would hear it in their sleep. He was most passionate about dinosaurs, Bluey, and his dog Buddy.

A public viewing will be held from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels.

Please join us in celebrating Derek's life on Monday November 9, 2020 at 2:00 PM also at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Derek's name to:  Swim Safe Forever, NW Houston Chapter.

Social distancing will be adhered to and masks will be required, as well as occupant limits.
