Dorothy Oppermann Junker was born to Albert & Alma (Kohlenberg) Opperman on September 23, 1930, in Comal County, Texas.

She passed from this life on October 5, 2026, in New Braunfels, Texas at the age of 96.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Arthur Junker and young brother, Albert Oppermann, Jr.

She is survived by her cousins, Denise Mays, and Cindy Hoegenauer; girls next door, Claudette Scruggs Barrington, Cynthia Scruggs Hoelscher, Carol Scruggs Perry and Christine Scruggs Dunn (and their children and grandchildren); numerous other cousins, additional relatives, and dear friends & neighbors.

Dorothy was a graduate of New Braunfels High School and loved to travel. She was an Interior Decorator in New Braunfels for many years. She was a member of 1st Protestant Church and also supported Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in memory of her husband, John Arthur Junker.

A Graveside Service & Entombment will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Sts. Peter & Paul Mausoleum #1 in New Braunfels, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, Dorothy suggested Memorial Donations to 1st Protestant Church, New Braunfels Human Society or A Local Food Bank.
