Earl Stanley ("Stan") Chase, 69 of Spring Branch, TX, passed away on December 21, 2022.

Mr. Chase is survived by his wife of 52 years, Irene D. Chase (Griffin); his children, Jim Chase (Janet) and John Chase (Carrie); four grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Austin, and Amber; and sister, Jean Chase Gewin (John).  He was preceded in death by parents David Russell Chase II and Edna Palmer Chase; and brother, David Russell Chase III.

Mr. Chase was born in Petersburg, VA, but grew up outside of Chicago, IL, where he attended Illinois Benedictine College before attending Cal-Tech in Pasadena, CA.  Mr. Chase joined the U.S. Air Force in 1979, serving his country as a B-52 radar navigator and in various command assignments before retiring as a full Colonel in 2009 as Vice Commander of the Air Force Recruiting Service.  After retirement, Mr. Chase was an active member of North Shore UMC in Canyon Lake, and a dedicated employee at Ace Hardware in Wimberley, TX.  Mr. Chase's greatest joys were his family, singing (choir and barbershop quartet), storytelling, and helping customers.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, January 7, 2023, beginning at 1:00 pm at North Shore UMC, Canyon Lake, TX.  Reverend Kimberly L. Burke officiating.
