On Monday, February 8, 2021, Erika Castañeda, loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and niece passed away at age 41.

Erika was born on July 2, 1979 in McAllen, TX to Pablo Castañeda and Yolanda Ortiz-Castañeda.

Erika had a passion for travel and trying new and exotic foods. She was an avid movie lover showing admiration for exploring new flicks and TV shows and sharing them with her loved ones and friends. Erika was known for her humor and loving personality, always being able to bring smiles and laughs to her family and friends in times of need.

Erika was preceded in passing by her brother, Paul Castañeda Jr, and her grandmother, Maria Luz "Lela" Ortiz. She is survived by her mother; Yolanda Ortiz Castañeda, and father; Pablo Castaneda Sr step-mother, Mary Binder, sister and brother-in-law, Laura Castañeda-Garcia and Jorge Garcia, her two nephews, Javier and Andy Garcia, and many loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
