Ethan Reed
Greenacre
Dec 27, 1999 — Aug 28, 2025
Although he was born Ethan Reed Greenacre on December 27, 1999, in Springfield, OR, he carried many names over the years—Gump, Ephrum, Eshen, E, Bud, Pain, EZ, Greenacre, Green, Uncle Green—each one given with love and a good story. On August 28, 2025, his Father in heaven called him home while he lived his dreams in Texas, operating cranes.
Ethan's life, though short, was deeply impactful. What some may have found wild or quirky in him, others adored—and he delighted in that balance. His laughter, energy, and joy in simply being himself left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He grew up cherishing family and friends, fishing and hunting, golf, football, and making a connection with every person he met. Ethan never knew a stranger. If you crossed his path, you were welcomed in—sometimes a little roughly, with one of his "over-loving" hugs or "twists" that might leave a bruise, but always with a heart that wanted you to feel his love.
From Oregon to Texas and many job sites along the way, Ethan built a village of people who love him deeply. His belief was simple but powerful: "There's enough ugly in the world, and if I can make someone smile just once today, I've made a difference." That truth shines now in the countless smiles and stories he leaves behind.
Those who will carry his light forward include his parents, Ronald Greg and Dianna Greenacre of Opp, AL; his older brother Grant (Kayla) Greenacre of Eugene, OR; his baby sister Shelby Greenacre of Opp, AL; his grandparents Ronald and Vicki Greenacre of Marcola, OR; many Aunts (Elizabeth, Robin, Jess, Jen, Jamie and Jenny), Uncles (Skip, Peter, Stephen, Joseph, Mike, Neil and Jeff), and Cousins (Logan, Morgan, Jake, Raven, Ben, Owen, Selah, Jessica, Cody, Kelsey, Tyler, Ashley). To attempt to list the number of friends he considered his Brother, Sister, Mom, or Dad, Aunt, or Uncle would be an impossible task; the list is long and heartfelt. He loved big, and in return, he was loved even bigger.
Ethan's presence was a gift; his laughter was contagious, and his love a blessing that will live on in everyone who was blessed to have been loved by him.
