Flossie was born second to last baby girl to Sally Helms and Ellis Brisco. She outlived all nine of her siblings. She went to be with our Father in our Home of heaven May 23, 2022, at 2 a.m. She was born February 20, 1917. Yes, she was 105 years old living in New Braunfels, Tx. Her life was full of change over her lifetime. She began life in Coleman, Tx. when they would share fire heated baths in the kitchen where her mom made biscuits every day. She attended a one room school that they all would walk to. Later the man she married camped on her porch until her mom said, "get out there and talk to that boy so he can go home!" He was there so long when she came out, he reached in and kissed her. Weldon Lockhart and Flossie Brisco married May 12, 1932, until his passing in 1985. He went off to WWII, she began civil work on Randolph air-force base as "Rosie the riveter". They had one child Wanda Lockhart who passed in March 2013.

Flossie was very loved and admired by her family and church. She volunteered her time at CCRC and the food bank out in Canyon Lake. Her secret to a long life was eating her vegetables!! And one Coke-Cola a day. Her memorial will be held at Burkett Cemetery at 11 a.m. on June 1, 2022, gravesite service only. We will say goodbye to my grandmother, Flossie Lockhart.
