Floyd W. Fisher 86, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026. Born to Bill and Julia Fischer, Floyd was raised in Comal County and attended Fischer School before graduating from Blanco.  He was the grandson of Herman Fischer of Fischer TX.

Floyd proudly served in The United States Army from 1963-1969.  Following his military service, he worked for TXDOT and retired in 1993 after many years of dedicated service.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing and spending time with friends at Devils Backbone Tavern, known to many as "The Office."

Floyd is survived by his daughter, Tammy Fischer Leerhoff; sister Patsy Brodbeck; extended family; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Julia Fischer, and was formerly married to Irma Nell

A Celebration of Life, with military honors, will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at the VFW Post 8573 in Sattler, Texas. Military Honors and a brief Memorial Service will start at 1:00 PM.  A Fellowship of Friends will follow.
