Frances Lina Schneider Dietert, age 97, peacefully passed away at Edenhill Communities, on August 26, 2024, to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born on March 10, 1927, at New Braunfels Hospital to Alvin and Hertha (Wagner) Schneider.

She grew up in the Marion, Texas community on a farm.  She attended Live Oak School and Marion High School. After graduation, she worked at the Grandma Cookie Company and later was a typist at Randolph Brooks AFB.

After her marriage to Otto E. Dietert, Jr. on June 11, 1946, in Marion, Texas, she became a housewife and mother to her children.  While raising her family, she was a PTA room mother, a Cub Scout den mother, Brownie assistant, Sunday School teacher and summer Bible School assistant. Years later, she cared for some of her grandchildren and briefly worked at Comal Drug and Plaza Pharmacy.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Otto E. Dietert, Jr.; her parents, Alvin and Hertha (Wagner) Schneider; her son and daughter-in-law, Everett Dietert and Doris Dietert; sisters-in-law, Irma Ikels, Mickey Dietert and Vera Dietert; brothers-in-law, Melford Georg, Herbert Dietert, Elmer Dietert and Hilmar Ikels.  She is survived by her 2 daughters and their spouses, Jeannelle Crisp (Roger) and Diana Mills (Douglas R.); her sister, Laverne Georg; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 6 step-grandchildren, and 11 step-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on September 9, 2024, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. followed by Services from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home, New Braunfels, Texas.  Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made to First Protestant Church or the charity of your choice.
