Gerald "Gary" Lee Medina was born to Rodolfo & Elvira (Ramirez) Medina on August 6, 1959, in Corpus Christi Texas.

He passed from this life surrounded by his loving family on July 15, 2021 in Canyon Lake, Texas at the age of 61.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Rodolfo Medina and his brother, Daniel Medina.

He is survived by his wife, Renee Medina of Canyon Lake; mother, Elvira Medina; siblings, Arnold Medina of Lago Vista and Yvonne Brown (Gabe) of Corpus Christi; stepdaughters, Madeline Powell, and Katherine Powell; nieces and nephews, Madeline Brown, Jullian Brown, Jacqueline Brown, Jarrett Medina, Kellen Medina and Troy Medina and numerous other relatives and dear friends.

Gary was a graduate of King High School in Corpus Christi and later went on to attend Del Mar College before he began his career with Southwestern Bell which later would become AT&T. Gary was a loyal worker for AT&T for many years of his life and would later retire after over 35 years of continuous dedication. He enjoyed working on his property, spending time with his family and friends, and of course getting his hands on any project he could find. Gary also loved going on ski trips with his family and friends and trying any new activity with his nieces and nephews which included many camping trips along with numerous trips to Disney any chance he got.

On Tuesday, July 20, 2021, the evening will begin with a Private Family Visitation followed by a Public Visitation at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home 189 North Seguin Ave. New Braunfels, TX 78130 being held from 5:00 PM until the end of the Rosary that will be Recited at 6:00 PM.

A Mass will be Celebrated at 12:00 PM (Noon) on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 180 St. Thomas Drive, Canyon Lake, Texas 78133.

A Procession will follow to Hill Country Memorial Gardens, 11700 SH-46, New Braunfels, Texas 78132.

Honoring Gary as Pallbearers are: Kirk Smith, Gary Pagenkopf, Charlie Litchfield, Tony Sanfilippo,

Bill Harwick and Mike Johnson.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Mark Tyler, Gabe Morin and Albert Avalos
