Genevieve "Genny" Elizabeth Tice entered into Heaven on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at the age of 83 in New Braunfels, Texas.  She was born to Ferdinand Hildebrand Sr. and Amalia Friesenhahn Hildebrand in Fashing, Texas on January 1, 1938.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years Joel N. Tice, sister Johanna Syring and brothers Ferdinand Hildebrand Jr., Lawrence Hildebrand, Patrick Hildebrand Sr., Clement Hildebrand, and step-brother Edwin Friesenhahn.

Genny is survived by her daughters, Diane Tice and husband Joseph A. Soane III, Deborah Tice, Rebecca Tice, Sonja Tice-McCoy and husband Mark McCoy, grandson Joel Michael Tice, sisters Elenora Linnartz and husband Marvin, Josephine Mutchler, brother Raymond Hildebrand and wife Jeanette, and sister-in-law Constance Hildebrand as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Genny retired from USAA after 35 years of service, as an insurance policy specialist.  Following her retirement, she worked for USAA bank for an additional five years.  Genny was a devoted member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church for most of her life. Genny volunteered with the New Braunfels New Century Lions alongside her daughters at the Comal County Fair booth for over 15 years.

She enjoyed fishing, reading, and most of all traveling the United States and Europe with her loving family.  She was able to see many places on her bucket list.  Most recently she enjoyed family trips to Walt Disney World, Texas beaches, and cruising to Honduras and Cozumel.  Genny's greatest enjoyment was playing games with her grandson, Joel Michael.

Rosary to be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021, 9:30am and f uneral mass to follow at 10:00am at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 386 North Castell Avenue, New Braunfels, TX 78130.  A procession will depart after the mass for entombment at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.  A reception will take place following the burial at Saints Peter and Paul Church, family room.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Knights of Columbus New Braunfels Council #4183.
