George T. Frecsko was born to John & Mary (Billo) Frecsko on May 7, 1949 in Youngstown, Ohio.  He passed from this life on May 16, 2022 in Austin, Texas at the age of 73.  George was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Roxie Frecsko of Canyon Lake, Texas; daughters, Elizabeth Frecsko of Laredo, Texas and Allison Bryant & husband, Ryan of San Antonio, Texas; his twin brother, John Frecsko & wife, Kathy of Austintown, Ohio; sister, Ginny Sefcik & husband, John of Canfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Noah Thomas Mendoza, Isabella Alexandra Mendoza, Elijah Joseph Mendoza, Isaiah Rocco Mendoza, Aubrey Lyn Kay and Carleigh Taylor Kay; several nieces; additional other relatives and dear friends.

George and Roxie were married in October of 1973 and immediately moved to Norfolk, Virginia where George was stationed with the U.S. Navy. He served aboard the USS Richmond K. Turner as the supply officer. He traveled to the Mediterranean and North Seas during his sea duty and finished his tour of duty at Dam Nick, Virginia Beach, Virginia.

George graduated from Chaney High School and went on to get his bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University. He was affiliated with the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He earned his MBA at Kent State University.

He worked in Warren, Ohio for Delphi Packard Electric when it was a division of General Motors. He continued working for Delphi and was transferred to Laredo, Texas in 1989. He was the Quality Control Superintendent for the Mexico East operations supervising plants from Nuevo Laredo to Mexico City. He developed life-long friendships with his Mexican colleagues. After retiring in 2007, George worked for New York Life Insurance Company and USAA as a claims adjustor.

George was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Canyon Lake and served as an usher.

He was a member of MOAA. A military officer organization where he volunteered doing monthly reports.

George enjoyed visiting with neighbors, feeding the deer in the backyard, and walks in the neighborhood. His greatest pleasure was his grandchildren. Whether it was a baseball game, a dance performance, band concerts, or cheer competitions, he was there and watching with pride.

A Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Canyon Lake, Texas followed by a Mass to be Celebrated at 10:00 AM.  Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
