Helen Elizabeth Kypfer Zipp passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born on December 4, 1931, in Geronimo, Texas, to Albert and Irma Braunholz Kypfer.

She grew up on the family farm in Geronimo alongside her siblings, Douglas, Dorothy, and Alice. She attended Navarro High School through the 11th grade and then went to Seguin High School for her senior year and graduated as a Matador in 1949. After High School she attended Draughn Business College in San Antonio.

At the Schumansville Dance Halle she met Karl Zipp.  They were married in August of 1954 at Friedens Church in Geronimo and had their reception at the Kypfer family farmhouse.  It rained that day at the reception, but as they say, that's good luck, as she and Karl were married for 62 years until his passing in December of 2016.  Helen attended many of the Hi-Toppers dances for over 35 years.  Helen raised three children who were all New Braunfels Unicorns and graduates of The University of Texas at Austin.  She worked at First United Methodist Church teaching preschool for many years and loved her time teaching little ones. Helen also enjoyed playing Bunco for almost 40 years with wonderful ladies whom she became lifelong friends.

Helen had the most beautiful soprano voice. She sang at so many weddings, funerals, and church services over the years. She and Karl both sang in the First Protestant Church choir.

Helen will be remembered for her kindness, devotion to her family, unwavering positivity, and steadfast faith. She touched the lives of many with her warmth and gentle spirit.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Karl, her parents Albert and Irma Kypfer, her son John Zipp, her brother Douglas Kypfer, and her brothers-in-law, Aubrey Constable and Dr. Raymond Buck.

She is survived by her sisters Dorothy Constable and Alice Buck; sister-in-law Enid Zipp; her children Lisa Sacco and husband Chris, Sara Williams and husband Stoney, and Timothy Zipp and wife Allyson; her grandchildren Alyssa Sacco and husband David Escay, Kareece Sacco and husband Tim Seaton, Bonnie Sacco and fiancé, Alexander Borchardt, Helen Williams, Lillian Williams, Bowden Zipp and Tierce Zipp, along with many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at First Protestant Church on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 2 PM followed by her funeral at 3 PM officiated by the Reverend Andrew Keuer. Following the funeral service, the family will be receiving friends at the Family Life Center Fellowship Hall.  A private family burial will be held at Lone Oak Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Protestant Church Music Ministry in Helen's honor.
