Obituary

Helen Lavirl (Patton) Pendleton, 94, passed away on October 4, 2021 in New Braunfels, Texas. Helen was the widow of James Robert (JR) Pendleton

Born in Sweetwater Texas, Helen was the daughter of Elmer George (EG) Patton and Carrie (Cosby) Patton. Helen graduated from Sweetwater High School, where she enjoyed being on the Tennis Team.  Helen enjoyed crafting, puzzles, crocheting, watching tennis and football, but most of all, she treasured the times she spent with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

After completion of her studies at Western Union School, Springfield, Mo she made her way from a Counter Clerk to an Executive Secretary for the Russ Company, San Antonio, TX

Helen retired from Russ Company where she enjoyed her work and accomplishments she made working as an Executive Secretary for many years. She will be remembered for her creative, giving and loving personality. Helen is survived by her son David Lowell Pendleton, daughter Penny Dell (Pendleton) Skruhak. Grandsons: James Skruhak and wife Ella, Aaron Skruhak and wife Ruby, Chris Skruhak and wife Deborah; Daughter: Tiffany (Skruhak) Duke and husband Jake.  Helen had 8 great-grandchildren: Dylan, Sykira, Colton, Daphne, Chloe, Jace, Ellis and Xiomara (ZoZo).

Helen was predeceased by her husband James Pendleton, sister Adelle (Patton) Bailey and brother Elmer Patton, Jr.
