Irv Brown fell into repose on Memorial Day, May 26, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on August 4, 1928, he lived a long life marked by service, discipline, and personal conviction.

He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After his military service, Irving dedicated more than 15 years to the State of California, retiring as a Senior Deputy Registrar II with the Contractors State License Board. His professional contributions were recognized with a Certificate of Achievement for outstanding public service and dedication to the state and its industries.

Irving was known for his strong work ethic, self-reliance, and practical approach to life. He valued consistency, was mindful in his stewardship, and remained independent and focused throughout his years. He took quiet pride in what he built and accomplished, and his legacy reflects a life of steady responsibility and commitment.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Ann Brown; cousins Leslie Adair and Jamie Alan Brown; stepdaughter Annella Sue (Susie) Offenbacker; and stepsons Timothy Earl Smith, Paul Edward Smith Jr., and Herman Daniel Smith.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 2, from 9:00–11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with military honors at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home, 1071 FM 2673, Canyon Lake, TX 78133. Irv will be laid to rest at the San Saba City Cemetery with his family.
