James H. Tapley, 65, of New Braunfels, TX, passed away on February 23, 2024. He was born on August 2, 1958. Jim was a friend to many and loved to help those around him. He cared deeply for his wife, Chris, and loved Jesus.

Jim is survived by his wife, Chris; sons, Josh and Jesse; daughter-in-law, Jeanette; and grandchildren, Mercedes, Ezekiel, Sophia, Titus, and Zoe. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Tapley, and father, JW Tapley.

Jim attended Hayworth High School and went on to work for over 25 years at Tesoro as a refinery and control center operator, both in Alaska and San Antonio, Texas. He worshipped at Oakwood Church and enjoyed cycling, fishing (particularly salmon fishing in Alaska), and engaging in building projects.

The memorial service will be held on March 1st, 2024, at Oakwood Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mission: New Braunfels, a ministry of Oakwood.
