Janet Faye Crouse, 83, of Canyon Lake, Texas, passed away on July 1, 2025 at Canyon Lake. She was born September 11, 1941 in Goldsboro, North Carolina to Stephen Thomas Godwin and Helen Mae (Strickland) Godwin.
Janet attended Goldsboro High School and later moved to Houston, Texas. She was employed by Weingarten's Grocery and HEB until retiring in 1986. She was a homemaker and a volunteer for the Republican Party. She was a worker on the George H. W. Bush campaign and was chosen as an invitee to his inauguration in 1989.
She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel D. Crouse, her daughter, Demetriana Diane Crouse and, granddaughter, Jaime F. Woods.
She is survived by her children, Juanita F. Kopp of Houston, Rebecca L. Pratt of Canyon Lake and her granddaughter, Carly M. Potts of Houston. Her sisters, Linda Turner and Helen Williams of Goldsboro, Mary Sue Carrier of Johnson City, Tennessee and her brother, Steven E. Godwin of Wilmington.
Services will be held at the Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum, 2925 US 117, Goldsboro, North Carolina.
