Jerome "Rome" Lee Ballard passed from this world on January 10, 2024. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Savannah and Hailey, their mother Deana Woodson, and his life partner of 3 years, Joshua Farquhar. Also left to cherish his memory are his mother, Gina (Anderson) Ballard and stepmother Denise Harris-Ballard, brothers Michael, Joseph, Wesley, Chris, Cody, Sean, many other beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and his K9 companions Gunner and Poochie.

Jerome is preceded in death by his father James "Mike" Ballard and stepfather Albert "Bert" Buckmaster.

Jerome was passionate about his daughters and enjoyed making memories with his girls. He loved taking them to the zoo and the pool, playing video games with them, and losing to them in Battleship and UNO. He loved to go to the movies, attend sporting events, and hang out with his many friends. Jerome also dedicated over 20 years of his life to the vacation industry, where he worked for Silverleaf Resorts and, most recently, managed the San Antonio Sales Office for Resort Vacations, Inc. Jerome's sarcastic sense of humor and infectious laugh drew others to him, where they encountered his true self: a beautiful soul with a heart of gold.

Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday January 24, 2024 beginning at 3PM

at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas.

Memorials may be given in Jerome's honor to the Trevor Project.
