With profound sadness and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the unexpected passing of John Aramendia on Father's Day, June 21, 2026. A devoted husband, loving father, successful businessman, talented mechanic, and loyal friend, he leaves behind a legacy built on hard work, laughter, generosity, and unconditional love. He was 60 years old.

Born on Easter Sunday, April 10, 1966, in San Antonio, Texas, John lived a life defined by integrity, determination, and an unwavering devotion to those he loved.

For 33 years, John shared a remarkable marriage with his beloved wife, Anne. Together they built a life rooted in love, family, and perseverance. They raised two sons, Jake and John (Bub), who were the pride and joy of his life. He was a loving father-in-law to Taylor and Emma and found one of his greatest joys in being "Peepaw" to his grandson, Jett.

A gifted entrepreneur, John built several successful plumbing companies throughout his career. His most recent venture, 1st Call Plumbing & AC, founded in 2019, reflected the vision, work ethic, and commitment to excellence that defined his professional life. He was respected not only for his business success but for the way he treated people. Employees became extended family, and many were touched by his generosity, encouragement, and willingness to help others succeed.

John possessed an extraordinary mechanical mind and a talent for solving problems others could not. Whether rebuilding an engine, restoring a vehicle, or tackling a challenging project, there was very little he couldn't figure out. His skill, curiosity, and determination were evident in everything he built.

Yet for all his accomplishments, family was always his greatest achievement.

John loved fiercely and completely. He was the person everyone called when they needed advice, encouragement, or help. He had a gift for making life's burdens feel lighter and a sense of humor that could brighten any room. Those closest to him knew that being teased by John was one of the surest signs that you were loved.

He found great happiness in the life he and Anne built on their ranch, surrounded by family, animals, and the land he loved so much. Some of the most cherished memories of John are the simple ones—sitting in his shop, looking out over the property, and taking pride in the home and life they created together.

John's legacy lives on in the businesses he built, the employees he mentored, the friendships he nurtured, and the countless lives he touched. Most importantly, it lives on in his family—Anne, Jake, Taylor, Jett, Bub, and Emma—who carry forward the values he taught by example: work hard, love deeply, show up for the people you care about, and never miss a chance to laugh.

He was generous, loyal, dependable, and kind. He gave more than he ever asked for in return and was the kind of man people could always count on.

John is survived by his wife of 33 years, Anne; his son Jake and his wife Taylor; his son John "Bub" and his wife Emma; his cherished grandson, Jett; his brothers, Jimmy James and Joe (Carolyn); his siblings, Lynn Moczygemba and David Dorum; numerous aunts and uncles and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and employees whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends from 10-11am on Saturday, June 27,2026 at Hillside Fellowship, 7055 US 281 N, in Spring Branch, Texas with a Celebration of Life Service to follow @11am.

Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the years we shared, the memories we made, and the example he set. We will miss his hugs, his laughter, his wisdom, and the comfort of knowing he was only a phone call away.
