John Battaglia was born on September 10, 1961, in Trenton, New Jersey, to Vincenzo and Margaret (Osilka) Battaglia. He passed from this life on June 22, 2025, in Spring Branch, Texas, at the age of 63.

From a young age, John had a passion for skateboarding and racing. He traveled across the country with his parents and siblings, competing in quarter midget races—bringing home countless wins and trophies along the way.

A lifelong carpenter, John began working alongside his brothers and quickly became known not only for his exceptional craftsmanship and work ethic, but also for his deep dedication to those he loved. He was the most devoted husband, father, and "Pop" — always putting his family and friends first in every way.

John was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Lindy, and his brothers James, Louie, and Chuckie.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Kimberly; his daughters, Christine and Stephanie; Stephanie's fiancé Cody; and their daughter, Tatum. He is also survived by his nephews Kyle and Kristopher, brother and sister in laws, along with several other nephews and niece who loved him dearly.

John's love, generosity, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
