John Steven Boyce was born to Harvey Frank and Ruth (Young) Boyce on January 15, 1955 in Donna, Texas.

He passed from this life on August 14, 2020 in New Braunfels, Texas at the age of 65.

John was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Ann Boyce of New Braunfels; children, Christopher Steven Boyce, Gregory Patrick Boyce & wife, Morgan, Andrew James Boyce & wife, Amber, Eric John Boyce and Adam Frank Boyce, all of New Braunfels; grandchildren, Jackson Kai Boyce and Madison Keilani Boyce; sister, Tommie Sue Haverland & husband, James of College Station; brothers, Frank Patrick Boyce & wife, Celia of Washington State and James Michael Boyce & wife, Julie of Minnesota and numerous nieces and nephews.

John graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a degree in business and went on to work in retail management. He loved to vacation at South Padre Island, and enjoyed listening to music by the Beatles, Beach Boys, Eagles, and Simon and Garfunkle. He also loved to cook and find new kitchen gadgets to use, and some of his favorite hobbies were reading, bowling and playing card games on his computer.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas.  A reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
