John Thomas (Tom) Tengler, 63, of San Antonio, Texas passed away September 1, 2021.  He was born October 17, 1957 at Ft Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma to (Ret) COL John A and Michael Ann (Brennan) Tengler.

Tom graduated from Admiral Arthur W. Radford High School in 1976 and continued his education at Texas A&M University where he was a proud member of Company F-1 Corp of Cadets.

Tom was a man of God, Family and Hard Work.  He loved hunting, fishing, playing golf and enjoyed just being in the great outdoors.  His love, pride and devotion to his sons was undeniable and unwavering, they were his world.

Tom is survived by his parents, (Ret) COL  John A. and Michael Ann (Brennan) Tengler, sons;  Austin Tengler (Gina), Travis Tengler, brothers; Alan Tengler, Andy Tengler (Debbie), sisters: Mary Elizabeth Snoe (Gary), Ann Bailey, grandson; Jackson Thomas Tengler and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7th at 6:00 pm with a Rosary service at 7:00 pm at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home, New Braunfels, TX.  The Funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday, September 8th at 2:00 pm at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, New Braunfels, TX.  Interment will follow at Hill Country Memorial Gardens, New Braunfels, TX.
