Judith Elaine Truesdale, age 74, went to be with Jesus on Monday, December 14, 2020, in her home in Marion, Texas, surrounded by loved ones.

Judy was born on July 29, 1946, to Albert Joseph Galvanek Sr. and Verna Mae Hauser in McKeesport, Pennsylvania.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Albert "Buddy" Joseph Galvanek Jr.  She is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband, Anthony Truesdale of 32 years, her sisters, Nancy Galvanek, Linda Patrick and Kathy Foster (Charlie), her "hero" son, Jonas Setzer (Amber), her grandchildren "sweeties" Miranda Setzer and Jared Setzer, many nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.

Judy went to school at MacArthur High School in San Antonio, TX, class of 1964. After High School, she worked various jobs, including Joske's Department Store in downtown San Antonio, but her favorite job was working at the Commissary at Randolph Air Force Base, where she retired after 24 years. She then went to work at Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union, where she made many special friends. After leaving the workforce, she then took up her "part-time job" at Fresenius Kidney Care Dialysis Center and quickly became known as "Princess Potty Mouth."

Judy loved to make people smile. Judy's favorite things in life included birthday lunches with her sisters, oatmeal raisin cookies from Subway, "her castle," butterflies (especially purple ones), being a good friend to many, and her treasured relationships with her son and grandchildren. She loved raising and rescuing many dogs with "her Tony", scratching lottery tickets and sharing corny jokes with her grandchildren. Most of all, Judy loved listening to music. The variety and amount of music she knew was definitely something to marvel at.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Judy's honor at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home Chapel in New Braunfels, Texas, on Sunday, December 20 at 3:00 pm.

Honorary Pallbearers include nephews Michael Doyle, Garrett Riedel, Weston Riedel, and Jake Schobinger.

Judy and her family are extremely grateful for the wonderful care she always received from Fresenius Kidney Care Village Oaks and especially Dr. Zaman for the last several years. Their expertise and friendship was always a light in the darkest of times.
