Obituary

Julie Passman, a cherished wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 59 on February 6, 2025 in Carlsbad, California.  Julie was born on December 31, 1965 in Waco, Texas to Bill and Mary Ann Jones.  Julie graduated from Midway High School in 1984 and continued her education at McLennan Community College, earning her Associate of Applied Science in 1986. She then attended Baylor University, where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in 1990.

Julie's life took a beautiful turn when her husband, James, saw her on the stage for a Christmas performance at Prestonwood Baptist Church. They were married on December 18, 1998 and enjoyed a lovely partnership that spanned for 26 years.  Julie dedicated her professional life as an Executive Assistant at Acxiom and Baylor Scott & White hospital, and most recently a Legal Office Assistant at Kyle Law Firm in New Braunfels, TX. Her mission at work extended beyond her professional duties, as she sought to share the word of Jesus with everyone she met. The Lord was her unwavering source of direction in life, guiding her every step.

Julie was a source of immense joy and love to her family and friends.  She is survived by her spouse, James Passman, her father, Bill Jones her sister, Jennifer (spouse Jeff Fedro) and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her dear mother, Mary Ann Jones.

Julie will be remembered for her warm and encouraging spirit, and the countless lives she touched throughout her remarkable journey.  She was a friend to many, always ready with a wise word or a listening ear.  Her presence brought comfort and happiness to those around her.  Julie will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given to the First Baptist Church New Braunfels building fund.

A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-7 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels (189 N Seguin Ave, New Braunfels, TX 78130).

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 at First Baptist Church New Braunfels (733 W Cross Street, New Braunfels, TX 78130)
