Obituary

Kathi Kennedy, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend to many, peacefully left this world on October 5, 2026. Born on May 26, 1948, in Williston, North Dakota, Kathi was the cherished daughter of Carl and Helen Jorgenson. She was welcomed into a family that included her brothers, Dale (Barbara)

and Lyle, who predeceased her and her surviving brothers Denver(Bobbi) and Nevada (Wendy).

Kathi's journey in life was marked by an adventurous spirit and a heart full of love. Raised with a love for the open skies and rugged landscapes, she was a cowgirl at heart. Her youth was filled with the thrill of barrel racing and a love for horses a testament to her adventurous and fearless spirit.

Her many careers saw her navigating the massive trucks of US Steel's open mines, a job that spoke to her boldness and tenacity. Her final career spanned over three decades in insurance sales a field where her quick wit, warmth, and genuine smile left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Kathi's life was deeply enriched by her family. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Kami and her son CJ, who, along with his wife Patricia, brought Kathi great joy. Her grandchildren Taylor and Clayton were the lights of her life, and her great-grandson Kasey was a cherished blessing.

Kathi had a special affinity for the water and sun. Whether it was boating, floating, or simply soaking up the sun by the pool or beach. Kathi loved to travel and seek new adventures. Kathi was a parishioner at St. Joesph’s Honey Creek Catholic Church in Spring Branch, Tx.

Her presence could light up a room; her smile was warm and welcoming, and her quick wit never failed to bring laughter. Kathi loved spending time with her family, creating memories that will be cherished by all who knew her.

As we say goodbye to Kathi, we are reminded of the vibrant and full life she led, one filled with love, adventure, and an unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
