Obituary

Kathy (Jones) Wiener entered the Gates of Heaven on Friday, June 30, 2023. Kathy was born of March 4, 1953 in Anson, Texas to John and Modena Jones. Kathy was married to Gary D. Wiener on June 11, 1982 and Kathy and Gary had recently observed their forty-first (41st) Wedding Anniversary. Kathy was a graduate of Canyon High School and Southwest Texas State University.

Kathy was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.  Kathy was a passionate horse lover, teacher of special needs children and cook.  She was strong in faith, energetic and a kind person which drove her in all that she did and thought.  Kathy lived joyfully, generously and with a "Smile Bigger Than Texas".  She was always there when people needed her and for thirty-three (33) years cared for her and Gary's special needs daughter Erin. Kathy loved to spend time with family, Holidays, friends, reading, laughing, listening and dancing to music, quilting and cooking. She loved it all fully and openly.  She was loved by all and it is common knowledge that she cooked the "BEST CHICKEN FRIED STEAK" in Texas.

Kathy will be missed by so many, her husband Gary D. Wiener, her siblings David Jones (Sandra) and Bill Jones (Blanca), many cherished nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews and so many special friends.

Kathy is proceeded in death by her daughter Erin Elizabeth Wiener, who now is at her side in heaven. Parents John and Modena Jones and sister Sheila Jones
