Dale Jackson, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend entered heavenly rest on January 17, 2023, at the age of 88.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lanta & Audrey Jackson and twin brother Gale Jackson.

After completing his high school education, his love of flying led him to join the Air Force and completion of Officer Candidate School.  Dale became a pilot, completed B-47 school, flew B-47's 4 years and transferred to piloting B-52's during the Vietnam crisis.

During his career, he received many meritorious awards and metals, including the Distinguished Flying Cross.

After retiring from the Air Force, Dale became an instructor in the Air Force Screening Program in Hondo, Texas.  After the program ended, he became an instructor for many students in civilian life.

Dale's love of his career showed deeply through the numerous students that later commented on how much he had helped them and who came back to thank him for his mentorship and friendship.

Dale is survived by his wife of 62 years, Fran, daughter Tracy, grandsons Quinn and Ian & great-granddaughter Summer. In-laws, nieces & nephews, additional relatives and many dear friends and neighbors.  Along with all his rescue animals, especially Maddie.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made, in Dale's name, to any charity of your choice.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, with military honors, on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at

Bethel Methodist Church, 39002 FM 3159, New Braunfels, Texas 78132.
