LaNita Corene Elmore was born to Rex and Lauree (Boggs) Stafford on February 16, 1961, in Odessa, Texas.  She passed peacefully on February 2, 2025, in New Braunfels, Texas surrounded by her loving family.  LaNita was an extremely loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother.

LaNita was preceded in death by her mother, Lauree (Boggs) Stafford.

She is survived by her loving husband, Phillip Neil Elmore of New Braunfels; father, Rex Stafford of Denton; daughter, Miriam Eaves & husband, Joshua of Austin; son Phillip Matthew Elmore of Wisconsin; sister, Brenda Broome - Tudor & husband, Roy of Denton; step-children, Robert D. Elmore & wife, Kelli of Amarillo, Stephanie Fussell and husband, Neal of Longview and Tiffanie Smith of London, England; grandchildren, Adelyn, Matthew, Micah (soon to arrive), Brayden, Regan, Cole, Korryn, Hunter and Mason and numerous relatives and dear friends.

LaNita graduated from Odessa Jr. College and attended Cosmetology School to become a hairdresser. In 2006, she obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant license and began working with seniors. She specialized in caring for Alzheimer's patients in their homes for 15 years, during which time she was awarded National Caregiver of the Year twice.

Phil and LaNita were members of Riverview Calvary Chapel in New Braunfels, Texas.

LaNita had an incredible green thumb and could take care of any plant and make it thrive again. She and Phil enjoyed camping with their dog Emma in Central and East Texas in their trailer. They also enjoyed fishing and spending time with their friends and family. She loved to cook and bake recipes that her mother and grandmother taught her. Ultimately, LaNita was an incredible caregiver and always made sure that everyone around her was loved and cared for.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM (with a visitation to be held one hour prior from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM) on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels with Pastor Bob Gonzalez officiating. A Procession will follow enroute to Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
