Laurier (Loyd) Charles Lambert, 79 passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 5, 2025 in New Braunfels Texas.  He was born September 25, 1945, to the late Walter and Phyllis (Fidelis) Lambert in Alberta, Canada.  His family immigrated to California where he finished school and served 4 years in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant.  After his honorable service in the Air Force, he graduated college with a degree in accounting and became a Certified Public Accountant.  He then moved to Texas, relocating several times, embracing new adventures in New York, South Carolina, and ultimately returning to his beloved Texas, where he found peace and joy in the place, he always called home.  Loyd enjoyed spending his free time with his family, watching sports and playing cribbage. He also could be found in the kitchen listening to music and making apple pies with "Big Sugar" or around a BBQ cooking ribs, trying to win the coveted BLUE NAPKIN AWARD.  Loyd will continue to be with us each Christmas when we make our family recipe of Tourtiere, where the pie crust will always have lard and never crisco.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Dennis and sister Marilyn Holmes

He is survived by Mary Lambert and Laurie Lambert, his children and their families, Phyllis (Scott) Williams, Carolyn (Aaron) Schmidt, Stephen (Michelle), Diane (Patrick) O'Gorman, Rita (Adam) Stroobandt. His 12 grandchildren Issac, Noah, Abigail, Austin, Jacob, Cody, Elizabeth, Madeline, Charlie, Mary, Addison and Jack and 4 great grandchildren Oliver, Emerson, Waylon and Vivian. His sisters Sylvia Melrose, Doris Peterson, Louise Lambert.

A memorial graveside will be held at 10:30 on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in San Antonio with the Deacon Derrel Craig officiating.
