Obituary

Lea Dolores Willis, 57, of Canyon Lake passed away on September 11, 2022 in New Braunfels.  She was born on October 6, 1964 in San Antonio, Texas to Ernest and Estanislada (Padilla) Serrato.

In life, Lea always gave of herself, first to her mother and siblings and then later to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was known for her warm, loving character and her giving heart. Ever the thespian, Lea performed in high school productions, various church plays and even directed on occasion. Her love of the theater remained with her until the end. Her life's work however, was teaching her children to love and serve the Lord, and to love one another.

She is survived by her husband Robert Willis; children, Alexandria (Sean) Neigenfind, Dimitri Willis, Zechariah Willis and Noah Willis; grandchildren, Isaiah Neigenfind and Daniel Richards-Willis; siblings, Celia Serrato, Juan (Tonya) Serrato and Jesus Serrato; half-siblings, Roger Serrato, Jerry Serrato, Maria (Roy) Harz.

She is also preceded in death by her half-brother, Ernie Serrato.

A visitation will be held at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels on Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM with pastor James Dudley officiating.  Burial will follow at Hill Country Memorial Gardens in New Braunfels.
