Leland Alfred Seidel born to Alfred Seidel and Velma Frerich Seidel in the early summer of 1947 in New Braunfels, Texas passed away on Wednesday, June 4th at his home.  He attended Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School from 1st through 8th grade and graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1965.  He earned a Bachelor Degree in Business from Southwest Texas State University in 1970.  In 1978, he began a construction and remodeling business which he continued for over 40 years.  At the same time, he had a side business in insurance sales and service.  Over the years, he had many satisfied customers and clients.  He built many custom homes in the area, and we can see his designs in New Braunfels and the surrounding towns.

In 1969, he and his wife Sandi met and then married.  For over 56 years, they shared many great moments, especially the blessings of three children and 6 grandchildren.  Leland enjoyed family road trips, Yellowstone and Colorado being his favorites, photography and league bowling, both 9 and 10 pin.  His family will always love him dearly and look forward to joining him in his forever home with God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Darlene Burris and Shirley Seidel, brother Donnie and granddaughter Althea Seidel.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra, son Patrick Seidel and wife Jocelyn; daughter Tammy Mitchell and husband Jason; daughter Kerry Lee and husband Dustin; grandchildren Dylan, Samantha, Abigail, John, and James; brother Darwin Seidel and wife Julie; and brother-in-law David Burris

Memorial service/rosary will be held on Tuesday, June 17th from 5-7 pm at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 18th at 10 am with a reception following in St. Mary's Hall.    Immediate family will meet at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park for burial.
